About the Artist
Hello! My name is Amy LaFollette, and here's a bit about me. I grew up in High View, West Virginia. As a child I loved exploring the outdoors; studying butterflies, toads, and snakes was my favorite pastime every summer. I also found inspiration from Japanese manga series and illustration guides by Ken Hultgren.
These inspirations helped me build an idea of who I want to be as a artist. Since I grew up drawing, it felt like an easy choice to enroll in a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a major in Printmaking at West Virginia University. After completing my four year degree, I discovered that being an at-home-printmaker was my calling. I am currently focusing on building a robust portfolio and honing my skills as a relief artist.
My current goals are to place my artwork in more galleries and storefronts, and keep selling art at local venues. I would also love to connect with fellow artists and learn from my community.
